CyberSlugger - Security
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. For Electronic Commerce applications, the Secure Socket Layer protocol (the Internet standard for secure transactions) is used to protect sensitive data as it traverses the Internet and/or corporate networks. To protect sensitive data as it resides on our servers, specific attention has been paid to system security. At no time is credit card information stored on the server as clear text. USi uses a variety of secure data storage techniques to obscure and encrypt our client's data. All UNIX and NT servers at US internetworking have been 'hardened' with the latest vendor security patches. All servers are protected from attacks by placing them behind firewalls and monitoring them with an enterprise wide intrusion detection system.
